Ward was the very first child born to MonroeLouisianaon 15 April, 1976. Monroe Christian School served as her Christian elementary education. For her secondary education, Ward began at Ouachita High School. She then transferred into River Oaks High School during the summer following her Junior year. Following her graduation, she attended Northeast Louisiana University. Ward left school at the age of 13 and moved to New York so that she was able to begin modeling. Her acting career started a few more years further down the line. In the 1970s, she was a character who wasn't credited in the show All My Children.
