Aurora

Aurora Aksnes, born June 15th of 1995 in Stavanger and known professionally as Aurora often stylized in uppercase in the form of AURORA is an Norwegian musician and singer. Her debut E.P. Running with the Wolves by Decca Records was released on May 15th of 2015 receiving rave reviews from bloggers and music critics as well as the press. Half the World Away from the band Oasis was made for an advertisement for John Lewis, and Nature Boy is an Nat King Cole cover. The singer gained further attention from a post by Katy Perry where Perry endorsed her track Runaway. Celebrate her birthday. Aurora Aksnes' first musical memory involves finding a small piano that was in her basement, and becoming enthralled by the sounds it made. Jan Oystein Aksnes was her father. They encouraged her not to do music just for pleasure or to aid in growing, but that she must take it seriously. She began to write her own compositions. Her influences include renowned authors Leonard Cohen and Bob Dylan in addition to her love of Bjork's style. Responding to her mother's advice that she ought not to aim to be famous through her songwriting, but instead recognize the significance of their lives as well as their contribution to society. She began playing the piano as her primary instrument, at six. She began making music at the age of nine. The family did not be aware until 14. Aurora was not a goal. Her only passion is to write music. According to her, she believes that music can help people feel more relaxed.
